The end of the beginning

Well, believe it or not, but the end of Nintencoverage is finally here. I never thought this day would actually come, but the truth is I never thought this small blog site would actually go anywhere and sure enough, it didn't.

Unlike Nintencoverage I got somewhere, and it all started when I created an account on blogger.com. I didn’t really know how I wanted things to play out back then so I took it slow, set my sights and decided on the goals I wanted to achieve. My number one goal was to become recognised by local writers and website owners who were interested in videogames.

I can proudly say that I have achieved this goal.

Thanks to Nintencoverage, I have met many great people (via the internet) and have been offered many great positions (all of which I took...well the majority), and even though the site didn’t grow, I did.

So now I will list everything I have achieved and the offers I have received:

Nintencoverage (Matmice) - December 2006 – April 2007

Nintencoverage (Blogspot) - April 2007 – 28 January 2009

Nintense – Mid-year 2007 – September 2007 (Site discontinued)

Aussie-Nintendo – Mid-year 2007 – December 2007

Nintendo Gamer (European) – Mid-year 2007 – offered writing position – declined

Wifi-Pirates – offered writing position – declined late 2007 (Site discontinued)

The Nintendo Basement – May 2008 - ?

MyGEN - June 2008 - ?

PokemonAus24 – December 2008 – offered writing position – declined

Vooks – December 2008 - ?

New project – became aware of it beginning of 2008/started 2008 - ?

I must mention that I now receive review games from some of these sites and I also get the opportunity to interview the occasional person (who is kind of important). Yeah, that’s right people actually want to answer my questions now!

Currently, I’m writing for The Nintendo Basement and MyGEN.com. You can find me on both of those sites posting the latest news, reviews, interviews and features. Oh and while I think of it you can also find me posting the occasional article on Vooks.net. I will also be entering into a new project this year.

I guess this is it, goodbye to everyone who ever viewed my site and thankyou for taking time to read an article or two from it over the years. To my beloved Nintencoverage fans out there (all two of you) I wish you well, because unfortunately you’ll have to relocate to another Nintendo fan site.

I will sorely miss Nintencoverage. Despite its crappy name, this blog site has grown on me over the past few years. It has allowed me to achieve things that I could once only dream of.

Nintencoverage has been an eventful journey, but believe me, this is only the end of the beginning. The best is yet to come.

Never underestimate the power of yourself.

The original Nintencoverage has closed

I have just recently discovered that website Matmice has closed. As many of you may know this is where Nintencoverage started out. This means the original Nintencoverage has been lost. This is a huge disappointment to both Ratboy and I.

May the current Nintencoverage continue to live on.

Sold Out?

Well it has certainly been a while since I last posted on the one and only Nintencoverage.

Please believe me as I reassure you all that I have not sold out. It's just I've been a bit busy. I now write for the all format video game website known as MyGEN, so if you guys miss me you can catch me there on a daily basis, posting news and reviews.

Link to MyGEN: http://www.mygen.com.au/

Nintencoverage has been a big part of my life for nearly two years now and I can guarantee I will not be abandoning it.

At the moment we are currently establishing a new affiliates and looking into a possible site redesign, so stay tuned.

kksl1der out.
